Workforce Planning Global through its Founder Julie Sloan OAM, has a strong history providing advice and support in workforce planning over the past 30 years in Australia, Europe, Canada, the USA, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Bhutan, Fiji, Singapore, Malaysia, the UK and China.

Julie Sloan established Workforce Planning Global to enable and encourage the sharing of information and experience in workforce planning initiatives. 

Julie is a recognised international expert in strategic and operational Workforce Planning. She is the author of two books 'An introduction to Workforce Planning - are you ready for crunch time? (2008) and The Workforce Planning Imperative (2010), the lead writer of the Australian and ISO Workforce Planning Standards and a regular contributor to various international magazines.

She is also an experienced and sought after international conference Chair, keynote speaker and workshop facilitator.

She is immediate past Chairperson of Standards Australia MB009 Human Resource Management Committee and Director of two Companies.

In 2016 she was acknowledged as a subject expert by the United Nations (Geneva).

In 2017 she was awarded the Standards Australia Meritorious Contribution Award - International. This award recognises exceptional achievements of experts in the area of international standarisation. Winners of this award demonstrate an ability to effectively influence international standards for the benefit of Australia and leadership in international standards development.   

In 2018 she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for services to business in particular workforce planning and management.

Julie is the lead writer for both the inaugural Australian Standard in Workforce Planning AS 5620:2015 and the inaugural ISO Workforce Planning Standard ISO 30409:2016.  She is also an active member of the ISO TC 260 Human Resource Management(HRM) Committee involved in the development of the HR Metrics and Analytics Standard, Human Capital Reporting Standard, Diversity and Inclusion Standard and Workforce Management (Systems) Standard. 

She is a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute, a member of the Global Women on Boards Group and has been recognized on the Minister for Status of Women South Australia Women’s Honour Roll (2008 and 2015) as an ‘inspirational woman’ for her commitment on a national level to strategic workforce planning in Australia.

In her career, Julie has worked equal time in the Government and Private Sectors and with organisations of all sizes.
